Today, our Transport Minister, Anthony Loke announced that Malaysian drivers no longer need to display a road tax sticker on their vehicles anymore. This is due to the implementation of the Digital Motor Vehicle License and Digital Private Malaysian Driving License starting today.
To do it digitally, you can just visit the Apple App or Google Play Store to download the MyJPJ app. After downloading, you can just register and fill up the necessary information about your vehicles. Besides doing away with road tax stickers, this also means physical driving licenses can be done digitally now for both car drivers and motorcyclists.
This is also just phase one of the digital implementation, so do expect JPJ to expand other digital usages to other matters in the next coming months (refer to the image above). The initiative of starting a digital license is so that Malaysians will no longer wait in long queues at JPJ counters anymore, said Loke.
