Today, our Minister of Transport of Malaysia, Anthony Loke announced that Malaysian motorists will be able to renew their driver's licenses online. It will be done through the MyJPJ app starting from 1 February 2024.
Besides renewing the license online on MyJPJ, Malaysians can also do so for their road tax in the future. Anthony Loke said this initiative will be done in phases so expect to see it this year. Moreover, he told the media today that "those who choose e-LMM to end their licenses will enjoy a rebate of RM5".
Regarding the e-driving license, it will begin on the same date (1 February) and will end on 31 December 2024.
