The Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports has announced that it is introducing an online version of its arrival and departure card, Tor Mor 6 (TM6). Accordingly, starting 1 May 2025, all foreign arrivals via air, land, and sea, including from Malaysia, must complete the digital TM6 form to enter the country.
Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports permanent secretary Natthriya Thaweevong was quoted by Bangkok Post as saying that the digital version will replace the current paper-based TM6 form. She elaborated that the online form will help track tourists while they’re in Thailand, increasing confidence in the country’s safety following recent negative perceptions by foreign tourists.

Meanwhile, the Ministry’s deputy permanent secretary, Mongkon Wimonrat, said that to avoid tourists’ confusion, the Thai Government would prioritise the digital TM6 card before adopting other types of entry screening. The online form is free and will be made compulsory for all foreign arrivals by air, land and sea.
The requirement for travellers to fill in the paper-based TM6 form is currently suspended by the Thai Government until 30 April 2025 for 16 land and sea checkpoints. The suspension was meant to make it easier for tourists, especially Malaysians travelling via land, to visit the country.
