On 5 April 2021, LG officially drew the curtains on its smartphone business. This meant that all development was cancelled, including the successor to last year's LG Velvet. However, its successor - the LG Velvet 2 - was clearly far into the development process as there are some marketing materials for a Pro variant.
Thanks to the leaker @FrontTron, we now get to see the marketing materials for the LG Velvet 2 Pro. They're quite blurry so it's hard to point out the finer details, but do show you what the phone would have looked like. As you can see, the design is largely similar to last year's LG Velvet. However, the 3.5mm audio jack is missing on the unreleased successor.

Since it's apparently a Pro variant, it should have a more powerful chip than the LG Velvet's Snapdragon 765 chipset. In fact, the spec list shows that the LG Velvet 2 Pro's uses the Qualcomm SM8350, which is the Snapdragon 888 chipset. It was also supposed to have 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 4500mAh battery, and a 6.8-inch FHD+ P-OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
If the price was appropriate, the LG Velvet 2 Pro could have been a pretty good flagship smartphone. Unfortunately, it's too late to talk about what-ifs. Regardless, what do you think about the phone? And what could LG have done differently to turn its fortunes around?
