Back in May 2025, there was news about Maxim needing to cease its operations in Malaysia, but that was not really the case. Today, the company has officially confirmed the continuation of its operations in Malaysia following a green light from the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD).

EVP Compliance and Partner-Driver Welfare

Operating under newly outlined terms and conditions by APAD, Maxim reaffirms its dedication to providing a dependable, safe, and regulation-compliant platform for passengers and partner-drivers alike. The company's Malaysian Director, Mohd Hazwan Musley, emphasised the importance of the approval, stating Maxim’s ongoing mission to strengthen Malaysia’s transportation infrastructure while enhancing digital growth and community impact.

As part of its renewed operational commitment, Maxim ensures all active partner-drivers hold valid E-Hailing Vehicle Permits (EVP) and have access to insurance solutions through company-endorsed partners. These measures underscore the platform’s commitment to safety, legal compliance, and professional service delivery across urban and rural regions.

Tech-Powered CSR and Social Inclusion

Maxim continues to champion inclusive economic opportunity by offering flexible income options tailored to both full-time and part-time drivers. In addition to its transport services, Maxim is stepping up its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) footprint.

The company's CSR runs various initiatives focused on public safety and welfare, while investing in mobility technologies aimed at making rides more accessible, efficient, and affordable. These advancements contribute to Malaysia’s broader digital economy goals, including job creation, smart mobility adoption, and nationwide connectivity.

A Collaborative Path Forward

Maxim looks forward to sustained collaboration with APAD and other key stakeholders, aiming to bolster Malaysia’s transportation ecosystem through innovation, compliance, and community-driven impact.
