Today, Maxis 4G Films is proud to release ‘The 50-Year Promise’, a short film about long-lost siblings who search for each other with the help of technology. In conjunction of the coming Chinese New Year at the end of this month, Maxis teams up with the same award-winning team that scripted and produced ‘The Last Kite-Maker’, which won YouTube’s Ad of The Year 2016 a few weeks ago.
Inspired by true stories, the ‘The 50-year Promise’ hopes to encourage Malaysians to reconnect, reunite and capture lost years with family and friends this Chinese New Year, no matter how far apart or how long they’ve not seen each other, using the Internet.

‘The 50-year Promise’ marks the third in the series of Maxis 4G films. Last year, Maxis released two films, The Road Trip and the award-winning Merdeka-themed The Last Kite Maker, which was awarded the three YouTube Ads Awards 2016 including YouTube Ad of the Year.
