After multiple telcos have announced their plans for the 5G rollout in the country, Maxis has also come forward to promise that it's bringing the latest generation mobile network to its users. The company has issued a public release about utilising Digital Nasional Berhad's (DNB) network for its 5G services.

Maxis states that "the Board is still assessing the governance requirements for the 5G Access Agreement". However, it is striving to bring the process to an end as soon as possible. The public release continues by mentioning that the company has already "been developing multi-industry use cases and forging partnerships with major players for 5G services and solutions".

5G will also be part of Maxis' converged Rangkaian Menyeluruh – mobile, fibre and satellite network. It would be in line with the commitment to help Malaysians connect in every possible way, in all situations, and at all times.
