Today, Maxis unveiled Explore with Maxis, a new initiative designed to connect Malaysians with meaningful, immersive experiences centred on discovery and exploration. The programme kicks off with an interactive heritage bus tour in collaboration with Think City, spotlighting the culture, stories, and hidden gems of Downtown Kuala Lumpur.

Where Culture Meets Technology

Created exclusively for Maxis customers, Explore with Maxis blends local narratives with digital innovation. Each tour features a live guide who brings the city’s history and character to life, while Miya, Maxis’ AI-powered assistant within the Maxis app, adds another layer of storytelling by offering contextual insights and curated information at every stop.

Participants can check in digitally at each location, access exclusive content through the app, and collect digital stamps along the journey — turning the tour into an interactive, gamified experience that goes beyond traditional sightseeing.

The route begins at Menara Maxis and winds through some of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic landmarks, including Dataran Merdeka, Masjid Jamek, and Stadium Merdeka. Each stop features guided walkabouts and hands-on experiences focused on heritage, art, and food. Highlights include a live Gamelan performance, sampling of local cuisine, and interactive drumming sessions that immerse participants in Malaysia’s cultural roots.

Tour Dates and Access

The immersive bus tours will take place on 20–21 December 2025 and 3–4 January 2026. Participation is free but exclusive to Maxis customers who have successfully registered, reinforcing the programme’s value as a customer-first experience rather than a commercial attraction.

Exploration Beyond the Bus

Explore with Maxis doesn’t end when the tour does. Through the Maxis app, users can continue exploring Kuala Lumpur independently, with Miya unlocking cultural insights and stories tied to landmarks across the city.

This digital extension allows customers to experience the city at their own pace, blending technology and tradition in a way that redefines urban exploration. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
