Maxis launches music video to support Malaysians during MCO with #KitaSapotKita
Maxis have just launched their new ‘Make It Through’ music video done in collaboration with local artists such as Faizal Tahir and Zee Avi. Part of its #KitaSapotKita campaign, it aims to raise funds for Malaysians during the MCO (Movement Control Order).
Shot in 10 days (from home no less!), with Faizal Tahir and Zee Avi along with 10 local artists the music video was produced by Maxis and XENO Entertainment in partnership with Astro. You can check it out directly at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eiChncXeEs.
How to pledge funds for the #KitaSapotKita campaign? Just listen to the “Make It Through” music video on Youtube and stream it through your other platforms. Maxis users can download the caller ringtone (*131*657086#).
All the streaming or sharing royalties and ringtone proceeds will be contributed 100% to Yayasan Kebajikan Negara. There’s also a pledge counter on their #KitaSapotKita site at Maxis so do check it out.
[Update] Malaysians can also take part by uploading their own version of the “Make It Through” video by drawing a heart shape on a piece of paepr and recording yourself passing the heart from your right to your left. Once you’re done, upload it to your Instagram account with the hashtag #KitaSapotKita and set your Instagram account on public. Maxis will select 100 of these videos by 1 May 2020 and put them all together.
Maxis will be pursuing more such online projects even after the MCO including this “Make It Through” music video. They do note that it’s a challenge to become your own sound engineer, and music video editor, but these are all challenges that will make us all stronger. Thanks to technology, we’re all learning new things everyday so as always stay tuned to all things tech at TechNave.com
