In case you missed it, Maxis has announced its new Maxis Family Plans, positioning the offering as an all-in-one connectivity solution designed to simplify how households manage home internet and mobile lines. Marketed around the idea of “More Connections, Less Complications,” the plans combine high-speed fibre broadband, unlimited mobile data, and bundled entertainment into a single package.
Two Plan Tiers Combine Fibre Internet and Multiple Mobile Lines
The new Maxis Family Plans are available in two tiers priced at RM299 and RM399 per month. The RM299 plan includes home fibre speeds of up to 500Mbps alongside three unlimited 4G and 5G mobile lines. The RM399 plan steps up to 1Gbps fibre speeds and includes four unlimited 4G and 5G mobile lines.
WiFi 6 Router and Entertainment Bundle Included
To support reliable in-home connectivity, Maxis includes a WiFi 6 router with free installation for customers signing up for the new plans. Customers will also receive a complimentary sooka Premium subscription for a limited time, giving households access to live sports, TV shows, and movies as part of the bundled offering.
Flexible Upgrades
Maxis is also positioning flexibility as a key feature of the new plans. Customers can upgrade their home fibre speeds up to 2Gbps and add up to six additional mobile lines as their needs evolve.
Subscribers on the RM299 plan can upgrade to 1Gbps for an additional RM90 per month or to 2Gbps for RM160 per month. Those on the RM399 plan can upgrade to 2Gbps for RM70 per month. Additional mobile lines are available at RM48 per line, allowing families to extend connectivity without switching plans.
5G Home WiFi Option for Non-Fibre Areas
For areas where fibre broadband is not yet available, Maxis is offering an alternative Maxis Family Plan with 5G Home WiFi. This option includes a free 5G router and is designed as a plug-and-play solution, enabling customers to access high-speed home internet without fibre installation.
