Maxis recently announced that they are ready for 5G by building an advanced and intelligent network they call the A.I. Network. It utilizes 5G-ready infrastructure over a fibre-optic footprint to mobile base stations across Malaysia. Utilizing Next-Gen IP network architecture, the A.I. Network will self-optimise data traffic and self-heal by anticipating and rerouting traffic around potential problem areas, ensuring lag-free Internet and Always On connectivity.
In related news, Astro and Maxis announced a strategic partnership between the 2 companies to offer bundled broadband content. Astro will soon be launching 30 Mbps and 100 Mbps broadband and content bundles in Malaysia soon via Maxis Fibre.
[Update] Astro have since announced their prices for their 30 Mbps and 100 Mbps broadband packages starting from RM123.95 a month and RM163.95 a month respectively. The packages are split into certain Astro bundles, for example, the pricing above is for the Family pack, while the highest level Super Pack Plus goes for RM247 a month at 30 Mbps and RM277 a month at 100 Mbps.
Contract is for 24 months but as usual with Astro, you can get rebates if you auto debit while certain packages get extra rebates or clearances to watch some channels for free for a specific amount of time. You can also use them with Astro Go, but for more info, feel free to drop by the Astro broadband site. Stay tuned to TechNave.com for all your tech news.
