Maxis have officially launched their eKelas programme with the aim of extending it to the 118 Pusat Internet 1Malaysia under their care (there are actually 730 such centres). Eventually, they hope to reach out to 100000 students in rural communities over the next five years. Granted, the eKelas programme has already been live as a pilot programme since September 2015, but Maxis are looking to expand their efforts to improve Science, Mathematics and English for form 1, 2 and 3 students.

The eKelas programe utilizes live tutorial sessions, group projects, videos and competitions to build the knowledge and confidence of students through technology. You can sign up or check out more details at the Maxis eKelas site
