Maybank Islamic, the largest Islamic bank in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region has announced the appointment of Audax Financial Technology, a digital banking technology solutions provider backed by Standard Chartered, as a strategic partner to drive the transformation of its digital services.
With the support of AWS ( Amazon Web Services ) as the cloud provider, this collaboration aims to introduce modern and customer-friendly digital banking solutions, with the first product scheduled to be launched in 2025.
Moreover, Audax, which previously successfully developed Asia's first Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) service, will bring this expertise to Maybank Islamic to enhance the customer experience in markets such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Through this collaboration, Maybank Islamic will offer a complete range of Islamic financial products through digital channels, including paperless onboarding, efficient account management, and instant access to digital banking services. Audax said in a statement that the solution, built on secure AWS cloud infrastructure, also ensures full compliance with Islamic financial principles while providing fast, reliable, and innovative services.
