It's clear these days that traditional banks see the importance of integrating with e-commerce platforms. Maybank, VISA Malaysia, and Shopee have partnered up to launch a new VISA credit card. As you can imagine, this is a new credit card that provides its users with benefits and rewards when shopping on Shopee.
According to Shopee, Malaysians are spending an average of 20% more time shopping online on Shopee. This new Shopee VISA Credit Card will let these shoppers gain more from their purchases, both through online and offline spending. Customers can start applying for the card starting tomorrow (1 July 2020), provided their age is between 21 to 65 and have an annual income of RM36000.
Once successful applicants receive their cards, there will be special offers available. All card owners can get 5000 Shopee Coins after they spend RM300 within 60 days of receiving their card. As part of Shopee's 7.7 Mid Year Sale, those who sign up before 7 July 2020 will also receive RM500 worth of Shopee vouchers when they spend RM300 within 45 days. Besides that, the card comes with a host of other benefits. This includes 5x Shopee Coins for purchases made via Shopee every 28th of the month, 4x Shopee Coins for dining, and many more.
