It seems that since last night (18 June 2025), Maybank has been facing an unscheduled outage affecting several popular digital platforms, including the MAE app, QR Payments, and M2U Biz. Users are reporting interruptions across major functionalities until today.
Unscheduled Outage Hits Maybank’s Digital Services
According to Maybank, the main features of the MAE app are now available, but many users said otherwise in this Facebook post. To the uninitiated, core banking features like account access and QR payments are down, and even M2U Biz business banking users are also experiencing disruptions. Users have also reported that Maybank ATMs aren't working, but we haven't had the chance to try them.
Alternative Access
Maybank assures users that its Maybank2u website remains fully operational, enabling essential transactions like transfers, bill payments, and account reviews. Businesses are particularly encouraged to use web access for continuity.
Restoration Efforts Ongoing?
The bank’s technical teams are probably actively working to diagnose and resolve the issues. While no official timeline has been provided, Maybank has communicated that it's treating the matter as urgent and expects to restore full service as soon as possible.
For Now...Use Other Methods or Cash in Hand
If your MAE app is still not working, you may want to use alternatives such as the Touch 'n Go eWallet for cashless payment or simply pay the traditional way with physical cash. We will be updating this page again to see if there are any updates, so stay tuned for the news at TechNave.com.
