According to an important notice recently released by Maybank, from December 5, 2024, the bank will reset its daily transaction limit for paying bills to RM3,000. This measure will take effect from December 4. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the adjustment only affects the Pay Bills feature, which includes paying bills for Maybank products and services, other bills, and JomPay bills. To ensure a safer online payment experience, the daily maximum limit for users in such transactions will be reset to RM3,000.

In addition, you can adjust your daily transaction limit through the Maybank2u web version. The specific steps are as follows:

  • Log in to the Maybank2u website
  • Go to Settings
  • Select Pay & Transfer
  • Click Pay Limit

It is important to note that if you choose to increase the transaction limit, this operation will trigger a 12-hour cooling-off period, meaning that you will need to wait 12 hours before using the new limit to make payments. After the cooling-off period, you will receive a notification through the MAE APP confirming that the limit adjustment has taken effect.

Moreover, Maybank reminds you to adjust their transaction limits promptly to ensure that you will not be affected. The purpose of this update is to enhance payment security and provide more flexible payment options.
