It's been four years since Maybank released the MAE app and we were wondering when the original Maybank2u MY app will be officially shut down and be replaced. Well, there's still no date announced yet but starting on 30 June 2024 onwards, it's recommended to switch over to MAE.
According to Maybank's newsroom, the Maybank2u MY app will no longer receive new updates. Not only that, users won't be able to download the app as well on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery. Looks like Maybank is going to close down the app in phases.
If you still have the app installed on your device after 30 June 2024, you can still use it until further notice. On that note, Maybank is encouraging users to migrate to the MAE app as it continues to receive improved security measures and other software updates.
