In this festive tech season, it was MediaTek's turn to showcase its latest product. MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset is now official and it was announced as the first to market with the latest Arm Cortex-X4 and Cortex-A720 processors.

To paint you a picture of how powerful Dimensity 9300 is, it's also the world’s first flagship smartphone chip to use all big cores: four Cortex-X4 and four A720 processors with up to 3.25GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. Compared with the Dimensity 9200, the single-core performance is boosted by 15% whereas the multi-core performance upgrade is 40%. MediaTek also stated the 18MB L3 + SLC cache is 29% larger.

Built upon a 3rd-gen TSMC 4nm chip production, the newest Dimensity 9300 has up to 33% multi-core power saving as well as supporting LPDDR5T 9600Mbps and UFS 4.0. On paper, 8% more power-efficient can be achieved when paired with flagship-grade memory and storage.

Of course, with the world of AI here and there. The Dimensity 9300 was also dubbed the world's first hardware-based generative AI engine with secure and personalized AI. Raytracing is also made possible through the Immortalis-G720 GPU which provides 46% improvement on peak performance, 40% power savings, and 40% memory bandwidth savings.

There are still a couple of features in the Dimensity 9300 chipset, namely next-gen video recording, HDR audio recording, high-end display functions, WiFi 7, internet connectivity, and many more. For more information, you can visit the official web portal right over here to check it out.
