MediaTek Dimensity 9400 reportedly beats Apple iPhone 16 Pro chip performance in early benchmark tests

The latest chip to be launched by MediaTek, the Dimensity 9400 has reportedly succeeded in surpassing the performance of the latest chip that powers the iPhone 16 Pro, the A18 Pro. So, what should you know about it?

Based on the Geekbench benchmark performance test, the Dimensity 9400 AP scored as high as 8,833 points in the multi-core test. However, the results of Geekbench in the single-core test were different when the A18 Pro reached a score of 3,409, while the Oppo Find X8 with Dimensity 9400 scored only 2,889 points.

In addition, the iPhone 16 Pro SoC is more than 17% ahead of the MediaTek flagship chip in this comparison. But, please note that the Geekbench Dimensity 9400 preliminary test results may differ after the SoC is officially announced. Interestingly, it did beat the Apple A18 Pro chip in the test which only got a score of 8,492 points. It also shows that the Dimensity 9400 AP chip is 4% better than the chip used in the iPhone 16 Pro.

We have yet to confirm other details on the new chip. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly
