This morning, the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 was launched. This chip is an update to the Dimensity 6300 chip. In terms of specifications, there are no major changes made as it is manufactured using 6nm technology by TSMC. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, It also maintains the configuration of 2x Cortex-A76 2.4 GHz and 6X Cortex-A55 2.0GHz. The only difference is that the Cortex-A76 core is slightly faster. This is paired with the same Mali-G57 MC2 GPU as the Dimensity 6300. As it is a lower mid-range processor, it supports LPDDR4X memory, UFS 2.2 storage and cameras up to 108MP or dual 16+16 MP cameras. Although the chip supports 5G networks, WiFi is only 5GHz.
It is believed that the first device that will use the Dimensity 6400 will be the Realme P3x 5G. We have yet to confirm other details on the news. So, we should wait for more confirmation from MediaTek.
