MediaTek strives to beat Apple by announcing the first 4nm processor

Mobile processor manufacturers like Qualcomm, MediaTek and also Apple are looking forward to getting their first batch of 4nm process to have a head start in the next-generation flagship processors fight. With that said, it is reported that MediaTek is striving to roll out 4nm-based processors before anyone this time, becoming the first to do so in the industry.

According to the source, MediaTek's 4nm chips will be provided by Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer TSMC. If everything goes well, the company will introduce the world's first 4nm processor in the first half of next year. For the world's first 5nm processor, it was the A14 Bionic chip announced by Apple, will MediaTek beat the California-based tech giant to become the first for launching 4nm processor?

The upcoming 4nm MediaTek chip is rumoured to run the ARM v9 architecture. It would also include the latest Cortex-X2 and Cortex-A510 cores. For the graphics performance, the chip could use Mali-G710 which is the successor to the Mali-G78.
