MediaTek has announced the launch of the Dimensity 9400e, a new member of the flagship Dimensity 9400 series. Built for high-performance smartphones, the new chipset delivers elite computing power and next-level gaming experiences, thanks to an all-core CPU and advanced GPU technology.
On the website, the Dimensity 9400e is classified as a flagship-class CPU configuration featuring four Arm Cortex-X4 cores clocked up to 3.4GHz and Cortex-A720 cores up to 2.0GHz. This setup is supported by a large L3 and system-level cache (SLC), designed for mobile gamers and tech enthusiasts, integrating MediaTek’s HyperEngine gaming technologies for high-demand gaming sessions.
In addition, the Dimensity 9400e adopts ultra-efficient wireless connectivity solutions and integrates MediaTek’s 8th Gen Generative AI tools, bringing premium AI capabilities to a wider range of devices. This includes mobile imaging and audio performance with an advanced 18-bit RAW ISP, delivering high photo quality and real-time monitoring during recording. There is also an AI-powered Semantic Analysis Video Engine, which can intelligently segment scenes into 16 categories.
On the audio front, the chipset supports high-dynamic-range sound recording using a three-microphone setup. It also includes advanced noise reduction technologies to minimise wind and ambient sounds. Additionally, the chipset also supports ultra-fast and high-resolution displays, enabling WQHD screens at up to 180Hz or 4K displays at up to 120Hz refresh rate and an integrated AI depth engine enhancing dual active displays and AMOLED anti-burn-in technologies.
