MediaTek has officially confirmed the launch date of its new Dimensity chip on December 23, 2024. MediaTek did not reveal the name of the chip that will be announced, but we can expect the Dimensity 8400 to appear. The leaked information shared before this strengthens the speculation that the chip will appear soon.
For your information, the Dimensity chip could be a 4nm-based chip with a 1+3+4 configuration and an Immortalis-G720 MC7 GPU. It is also said to have scored over 1.8 million points in the Antutu benchmark. Redmi is said to be one of the first manufacturers to use the chip. So, it will be interesting to see how Xiaomi fans will react.
