In Malaysia, it's common to get spam calls from unknown numbers pretending to be officials. If only there is something that can take care of that, right? Well, O2 by Virgin Media from the UK unveiled a new anti-fraud tool named Daisy.

Daisy is a state-of-the-art AI Granny that can interact with scammers in real time. Her mission - talk with scammers and waste their time as much as she can with human-like chatting capabilities. According to the organisation, Daisy is indistinguishable from a real person and doesn't need any input from her creators, thanks to the combination of various AI models.

According to sources, Daisy has been playing scammers in telling stories of her family and a passion for knitting, as well as giving made-up bank details and false information. While Daisy was busy entertaining them, she also collected common tactics used by scammers which can educate users to protect themselves.

It would be nice if Daisy made her way to Malaysia. Or we can also make one of our own and call it "Siti" or something. Anyway, we would like to remind everyone that if you are receiving a suspicious number, you can just ignore it unless it's from a trusted source. Also, officials will never call or message you casually on WhatsApp.
