Meizu 20 series release: SD 8 Gen 2 and 50MP triple cameras from ~RM1927

Meizu has just launched its latest flagship smartphone lineup in China, the Meizu 20 series powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Consisting of the Meizu 20, Meizu 20 Pro and the top-ranking Meizu 20 Infinity, read on to find out more about all three variants. 

According to its official Chinese website, the highest-end 20 Infinity features a 6.79-inch LTPO (1-120Hz) SUPER AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1368 x 3192 pixels. The 20 Pro also has the same display and resolution but with a slightly bigger 6.81-inch size, though the 20 Infinity has slimmer bezels of only 2.48mm.

Meanwhile, the vanilla variant packs a 6.55-inch 144Hz OLED panel with an FHD+ resolution. All three variants feature a punch-hole cutout at the top middle which houses the 32MP front-facing camera. 

Speaking of which, the 20 Pro has a 50MP main + 50MP ultra-wide + 50MP telephoto triple-camera setup, while the 20 Infinity features a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 12MP telephoto. The vanilla 20 has the worst of the three, sporting a 50MP main + 16MP ultra-wide + 5MP auxiliary triple-camera setup.

As for the battery, the 20 Pro has the largest capacity at 5000mAh which supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The 20 Infinity has a 4800mAh cell (65W wired and 50W wireless charging) while the vanilla 20 sports a 4700mAh battery (67W wired charging). 

Under the hood, all three variants are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Other notable specs include Flyme 10 OS, an in-display fingerprint sensor, 5G connectivity, WiFi 7, dual SIM and AutoPhone link to supported Geely cars.

The vanilla 20 is offered in green, yellow, pink and black colour options at CNY2999 or ~RM1927 for the 12/128GB variant. The 12/512GB configuration is priced at CNY3799 or ~RM2441.

Meanwhile, the 20 Pro comes in either silver, gold or black and is priced at CNY3999 or ~RM2569 (12/128GB) up to CNY4799 or ~RM3083 (12/512GB). The 20 Infinity is available in silver, green and black at CNY6299 or ~RM4047 for 12/256GB all the way to CNY8499 or ~RM5460 for the top ranging 16GB/1TB model.
