Meizu Note 16 Series release - Up to 144Hz AMOLED, 6600mAh battery and SD 7s Gen 3 SoC from ~RM479

Meizu has released two new smartphones under its Meizu Note Series in China, the Meizu Note 16 and Meizu Note 16 Pro. Featuring excellent specs for their prices, read on to learn more. 

First up, the higher-end Note 16 Pro model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Battery-wise, it’s a 6200mAh cell which supports 80W charging via the USB-C port.

Meanwhile, the screen is a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED with an FHD+ resolution, 1600 nits peak brightness and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 8MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP shooter paired with an 8MP ultra-wide. It also features IP66/68 rating, Android 15 via Flyme AIOS 2 and colour options of either Cloud White, Light Blue or Star Grey. In China, the Note 16 Pro starts at CNY1499 or ~RM899

As for the Note 16, it’s powered by the Unisoc T8200 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The battery is a 6600mAh cell, which supports 40W charging via the USB-C port.

Screen-wise, it’s a 6.78-inch 120Hz IPS LCD with an FHD+ resolution and 1050 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, the main camera is a 50MP shooter paired with a 2MP depth sensor. 

Other notable specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP65 rating, a 3.5mm audio jack and colour options of either red or blue. In China, the Note 16 starts at CNY799 or ~RM479.
