More and more people are looking to lose the wires and the noise they're constantly surrounded with. It's to a point where we're no longer surprise when brands start dabbling in the audio field, despite not being known for expertise in that area. However, Meizu isn't exactly new when it comes to headphones and has announced a new variant to its Meizu HD60 headphones.

A listing for a new variant of the Meizu HD60 was spotted on the Meizu store recently, with the new feature being active noise cancellation (ANC). This isn't something new, but what's interesting here is that it's using some of Sony's audio technologies. It's mentioned in the product page that this new model uses an ANC chip developed by Sony, supposedly the CDX3775, according to GSMArena.

The Meizu HD60 ANC was launched along with the Meizu 17 series smartphone, which was launch yesterday. It supports Hi-Res Audio so the audio quality should be quite good. Also, it's got a 900mAh battery that is expected to last for 17 hours with the ANC enabled. For a wireless headphone, its retail price of 1100 yuan (~RM673) seems like a pretty good deal.

It's unlikely for this to be available in Malaysia officially, but the standard Meizu HD60 can be purchased from online stores like Lazada so you might be able to get it later.
