Aside from revealing the Meizu M5 Note, Meizu also unveiled their own fitness smartband called the Meizu Band. Like all smartbands, it's designed for sports and it just cost 229 Yuan only (around RM148). Here's what we know of the tech-specs so far:

  • OLED touchscreen display
  • Features a magnetic USB charging cable, heart rate sensor, IP67 grade water and dust resistant, Find My Phone feature
  • Supports Bluetooth connectivity

Since the Meizu Band is designed with an integrated design with double component injection technology, this means the band can be detachable. It can last up to a week of constant usage from a single charge, or even more than that without using the heart rate sensor.

Speaking of heart rate sensor, it's designed from AMS so it will notify you if your rate goes over the maximum rate. The band also reveals the usual time, calories burn and number of steps taken, as well as monitoring sleeping patterns, with built-in snooze alarm feature to wake you up softly. Also, the distance between the owner's smartphone and band is 10 meters, so it's not really an independent smartband.

No word on whether if it will come to Malaysia, but you could get on from online on 8 December 2016. Stay tuned for more Meizu news at Technave.com.
