Underneath the 1080p display lies the MediaTeck octa-core Helip P10 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. More storage can be added with the microSD slot. The camera situation on this phablet includes a 12-megapixel Sony sensor at the rear, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. It also comes with a front fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C connector and a 4100 mAh battery – all wrapped in aluminium.
Out of the box you get Meizu’s FlyME OS, based on Android 5.1 Lolipop, with rumours saying that the M3 Max will get an update to Android 7.0 Nougat in the near future.
