What? We are doing cars now? Well, let's just say that we were fortunate to be invited to witness a new Mercedes-Benz car launch - the Mercedes-AMG A35 Sedan. It is a new A-Class Sedan priced at RM348,888 and here's what you need to know about it.

Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine, it can produce up to 306 horsepower and 400Nm peak torque (Torque) with AMG Performance 4Matic four-wheel drive system plus Race-Start track control system, as well as accelerate from 0 up to 100km/h within 4.8 seconds. For the transmission system, the car is equipped with AMG Speedshift 7G Dual Clutch Transmission (7-speed dual-clutch transmission).

On the other hand, the wheelbase is measured 2729mm and the interior is decorated with silver metal finish. The chair features Artico leather + Dinamica fibre with red stitching for that sporty look and this same goes for the steering wheel, which also looks like a sports car.

That said, the whole car appearance is quite sporty in design thanks to the front bumper and spoiler underneath. The front bumper still has the Mercedes-AMG-style air intake, while the sides are equipped with a 19-inch five-frame AMG sports rim, a four-piston brake calliper that is 350mm in front of the perforated brake disc (and 330mm behind). The rear end of the car uses a two-sided exhaust pipe with a small duckbill tail design.

Car lovers may be glad to know that the car has been upgraded to enhance the torsional rigidity of the A-Class body, while using the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension parts with lightweight aluminium components. For safety, the AMG A35 Sedan comes with a standard set of advanced active safety equipment, including active brake assist system, active maintenance lane assist system, blind-spot detection system, and active parking. Auxiliary systems and more.

There are also five driving modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Individual. The MBUX multimedia system provides AMG TRACK PACE track recording program, which allows it to record and analyze your driving. Why? Because for safety reasons.
