The era of generative artificial intelligence is now in full swing. After the introduction of Sora by OpenAI, which demonstrated its ability to generate realistic-looking videos, many people realised how easy it would be for content on the Internet to deceive us all. Meta also realised this and this is why the Meta Video Seal was introduced. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, Video Seal is a hidden watermark for AI-generated videos. This watermark cannot be modified by blurring or cropping the video. The system will still be able to identify this AI-generated video. Not only that, hidden messages can also be included in this video. Meta offers this Video Seal openly under a permissive license, along with research papers, training code and inference code.

In addition, Meta launched Omni Seal Bench, a supported watermarking technique for various AI models to aid research for safer use. At the same time, the Meta Watermark Anything model was also relaunched with a permissive license.
