Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed that the company is in the midst of testing AI-powered tools for its products. These would include AI-powered chats on its messaging platforms, WhatsApp and Messenger.
As reported by TechCrunch, Zuckerberg asserted that the company is developing a new “top-level product group” which integrates generative AI into its services. Furthermore, Meta will initially focus on developing creative tools, with the long-term goal of creating “AI personas that can help people in a variety of ways”.
The company is starting with text-based AI tools on WhatsApp and Messenger. While no confirmation was given, this feature is believed to be similar to the now-famous ChatGPT conversation bots.
