Remember once upon a time where we wanted the lights to simply turn off when we clapped our hands? Or a vacuum cleaner that does the job without us telling it to? Well, the future is now and we don’t even have to tell our vacuums or clap our hands for lights to turn on and off - at least, not with the Mi Smart Home.

Xiaomi showcased their Mi Smart Home today with over 30 smart hardware and lifestyle products installed in the home. What makes the ecosystem amazing is that everything is connected to each other and can be commanded and set via smartphones. 5 different living areas in a home were showcased which include the living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and study.

Your kitchen would be cooking rice and boiling water for you by them time you get home!

Each living area had certain smart devices installed such as Mi Home Security Camera 360 1080P, Mi Air Purifier, Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner, Mi IH Rice Cooker, Mi Smart Kettle, Mi Electric Toothbrush and more. The Mi Smart Home focuses on three diverse aspects of a home which are security, health and lifestyle.

What makes the Mi Smart Home unique is its ability to function according to a user’s settings or certain scenarios. For instance, if say you were on the way home from work and would like to have your rice already cooked when you returned, you may simply turn the rice cooker on from your smartphone. If you were to leave the house, all the lights would turn off, the security system kicks in and your little roomba would start vacuuming the house so you would return to a spotless home. Here’s another awesome scenario - you’re resting in an air conditioned room and decide to open a window, the sensor can sense this and the AC would turn off. Isn’t that convenient?
