Just like any other subscribing platform, Microsoft will also raise its subscription fee for Microsoft 365 Family's office package. According to sources, Microsoft Malaysia has emailed all subscribers to notify them of the increased monthly fee.
Currently charged at RM36 per month for the family package, it will be raised to RM41 per month starting on 1 July 2024 to "maintain the high levels of service and product quality". If you want to avoid that, you can still cancel your subscription but it has to be two days before your next scheduled payment in July.
In case you didn't know, the Microsoft 365 Family can add up to six members and they can sign in to five devices at once. This includes PCs, Macs, phones and tablets with premium features and offline access. Members can also take advantage of the 6TB of cloud storage, the security and free from any advertisements displayed.
Oddly, the Microsoft 365 Personal plan will remain at RM27 per month. Still, the family plan is much better because you can share the cost between six members. With RM41 per month, each member must only pay RM6.8 per month to the primary account holder.
