Microsoft has finally started shipping its Microsoft HoloLens 2 after the announcement back in February at the Mobile World Congress. The company has officially announced the price tag and we're wondering if it is worth that much. Microsoft's second-generation augmented reality headset is being sold with a whopping price at USD 3500 (~RM14465.50).

The target audience of the AR headset is for those professionals who prefer to work with mixed reality instead of using a mouse and keyboard to interact with computers. With that being said, the AR headset is not for the users who would enjoy the entertaining features like the ones from the PlayStation VR. We don’t think you would buy the expensive Microsoft HoloLens 2 just for your gaming pleasure though.

The HoloLens 2 features a wider view, which will ensure a better user experience compared to the last generation HoloLens. For software, Microsoft improved its eye and finger tracking that can work with new gestures to interact with the hologram. For example, to access the Start menu, you will need to tap on your palm where a Microsoft logo will appear. Microsoft released a cool promo video for the device, check it out below!

Microsoft HoloLens 2 houses a second-generation holographic processing unit. It also comes with cloud improvements like Azure Spatial Anchors that allows you and others to see the same hologram you’re looking at.
