When it comes to 2-in-1 laptops, Microsoft is probably one of the more well-known brands in Malaysia. In this category, the Surface Go series is great as it's relatively affordable. And if you're looking for a new model, the Surface Go 3 is launching soon.

According to Gizmochina, the Microsoft Surface Go 3 was spotted on Geekbench. It's confirmed that the laptop will come in (at least) two variants. The first one features an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y and 4GB of RAM, while the other one sports an Intel i3-10100Y CPU and 8GB of RAM. Note that the RAM is DDR3, which makes it slower than the more common DDR4 RAM used in most devices these days.

Obviously, the second variant will perform better than the first one. In fact, it scored 4359 for single-core and 7643 for multi-core on Geekbench. In comparison, the variant with the Intel Pentium Gold CPU scored 3197 for single-core and 5643 for multi-core. As you can see, the Core i3 variant's multi-threaded performance is significantly better, so it'll be better for productivity.

Since Microsoft has a presence in Malaysia, we can probably expect this to launch here eventually. But what else do you need from laptops other than form factor? Share your requirements in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
