So Microsoft Malaysia has just announced Surface Go's availability for Malaysia on 2 August 2018, there's no local price revealed yet but in the USA the manufacturer's suggested retail price is just $399. That's just ~RM1600 in direct conversion and surprisingly affordable, but of course this is not the device made for gaming.

Anyway, the Surface Go is Microsoft's most compact device yet weighing over 500g and measures 8.9mm thin only. The PixelSense Display is 10-inch long and the 3:2 custom calibrated display is designed to render the pages of most school textbooks. The hinge can extend to 165 degrees for flexibility, allowing users to make it as a tablet or studio mode, and support for type and mouse input with their Signature Type Cover.

Powered by a 7th Generation Intel Pentium Gold Processor 4415Y, it offers up to 9 hours of battery life without a need for a fan. For charging and docking, there's Surface Connect and USB Type-C 3.1, as well as a microSD card reader for storage expansion. Users will also be glad to know that there's a Surface Pen ready too.

The pre-order in Malaysia will start on 2 August 2018, followed by Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan with more markets to follow, while both Australia and New Zealand will start theirs tomorrow (11 July 2018).
