Today, the pre-orders for the new Microsoft Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5 will commence from 8 November in Malaysia onwards, via commercial authorized resellers and authorized retailers. The starting price for both laptop models is RM5299.
Consumers who pre-order a Surface Pro 9, from now till 28 November, will receive a complimentary Surface Pro Signature Keyboard and other free gifts (worth up to RM1288). On the other hand, consumers who pre-order a Surface Laptop 5 will receive a complimentary Microsoft Arc Mouse and other free gifts (worth up to RM998) from selected authorized retailers. All consumer purchases will also include a one-month free subscription to Microsoft 365.
In terms of features, the Surface Pro 9 sports an edge-to-edge 13-inch PixelSense display, with up to 120Hz refresh rate, an HD camera, Omnisonic speakers, directional microphones, and Microsoft’s custom G6 chip. It's available in two options – the 12th Gen Intel Core processor built on the Intel Evo platform with Thunderbolt 4, or a Microsoft SQ3 processor, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon with 5G connectivity for Surface for Business users.
Meanwhile, the Surface Laptop 5 is powered by the latest Intel Evo platform, as well as features a 3:2 PixelSense display in 13.5-inch or 15-inch options, Thunderbolt 4, Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos 3D spatial, an HD camera, Studio Microphones and others.
The Surface Laptop 5 and Surface Pro 9 are available for pre-order starting today, 8 November, via a commercial authorized reseller, Maxis; and authorized retailers such as All IT, Gloo by SNS Network, Harvey Norman, Lazada Flagship Store, PC Image, Senheng, Shopee Authorised Store and TMT by Thundermatch. Both devices will be available to consumers and commercial customers in the following configurations in Malaysia:
