Microsoft's Windows 8 powered Surface tablets are finally coming to Malaysia in full force. While the lower-end Microsoft Surface RT is set to make an appearance tomorrow, the Microsoft Surface Pro may arrive in Malaysia by the end of June 2013. No exact date was specified exactly but it does mean that we'll see the Surface Pro in just a few more months.
Considered by many tech watchers as the defining experience when it comes to Windows 8, the Microsoft Surface Pro tablets are x86 based computers squeezed into a tablet form factor that delivers desktop performance with tablet mobility. While the Microsoft Surface RT lacks in terms of hardware and features, the Surface Pro should be on the consideration list for any Windows user looking to make the shift to a tablet or wanting to replace their old laptop or desktop. Be warned though, early international pricing ($899 or RM2745) has been rather high so while there isn't any Malaysian pricing details just yet, it would be wise to start saving now.
