Today, Microsoft Malaysia has announced the arrival of the Surface Pro and Surface Pro Signature Type Cover. The Surface Pro's starting price is RM3699 and pre-order has already started. It will officially go on sale on 15 August 2017 in selected local Surface authorised retailers and Lazada.com.my.
First unveiled in May, the Surface Pro has been redesigned with a more refined softer, rounded edges yet thin body build, measuring in 8.5mm thin and weighs 767g. It has a fanless design so the user can work quietly with an improved battery life of 13.5 hours of battery life. According to Microsoft, the 2-in-1 laptop "boasts a 50% longer battery life than the Surface Pro 4 and delivers performance 2.5 times more than Surface Pro 3". At the moment, the device can go up to 7th generation Intel Core processor and uses a 12.3-inch PixelSense touch display.
Additionally, the Signature Type Cover is available in Platinum, Burgundy and Cobalt Blue. The price tag is RM669 and it's sold separately, so as the Surface Pen for RM299. Moreover, Microsoft Office 365 and the new Microsoft Whiteboard app are available inside the device.
