Nowadays, it’s amazing that technology can do so much and it can even predict what we are going to type or say next. Many of you must be familiar with Google’s Smart Compose, which will predict the words that you want to type next in your Gmail compose box. If you think it’s impressive, here is something else from Microsoft that will make you go “I want to use that!”.

Microsoft has upgraded one of its features that is called Rewrite from Microsoft Word to be even more powerful. Before this, the feature only could suggest better ways to phrase snippets of text after the user selecting a fragment of the text, right-clicking on it and selecting 'Rewrite suggestion'. Now, it appears that the tool will be smart enough to rewrite the entire sentence in a way that is better than the original one.

The feature will be focusing on improving fluency, concise phrasing, and readability of users’ works. By using it, select the ‘Rewrite suggestion’ as well from the context menu, and then the sentence will be highlighted in purple. After that, with just one click, the sentence will be rephrased instantly. However, the feature is only now available on the Microsoft Word web version and requires a Microsoft 365 or Office 365 subscription. It also works on only one language which is English currently.
