As you may know, some smartphones can connect to laptops or desktops via a specific app. This feature isn't available for most PC users, but it looks like things could be starting to change. Recently, Microsoft has announced a rename for its Your Phone app and more support for it.

According to the announcement, the Your Phone app will now be called Phone Link. Moreover, the next Windows 11 update will see an upgraded version of the app. It will offer a brand new interface and features like notifications, tab navigation, and more. Microsoft also promised to make it easier to set up and included as part of the new Windows 11 set-up process.

Besides that, the update will also allow Phone Link to support selected Honor devices. Currently, the list includes the Magic V, Magic 4 series, and Magic 3 series smartphones. Before this, Phone Link only supported Samsung devices. This means it was relatively inaccessible, so other brands had to come up with their alternatives. With this move from Microsoft, there's hope that more brands would be supported in the future.
