Microsoft announces the Surface Studio, Surface Dial and a new Surface Book
A company that is usually associated with hardcore IT, Microsoft has revealed three new products that is designed to be used by the creative industry, and everybody else. The new Microsoft Surface Studio, Surface Dial and an updated Surface Book joins the Surface family lineup.
Heading the new product range is the Surface Studio. It is an all-in-one device that brings a familiar environment to a new form factor. It features a 28-inch LCD PixelSense display with 3:2 aspect ratio and “over a billion possible colors.” It also features 32GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 980M and a large 2TB internal storage. What makes the Studio special is the ability to lie almost flat on the table – and when used with the Surface Pen and Surface Dial, it becomes a bestfriend to any and all creative professional.
To complement the Surface Studio is the Surface Dial. It is an accessory that can adapt to any program that is currently running, as different apps will invoke different functions when used with the Dial. Powered by two AAA batteries, it can last for a year with a 4-hour use every day.
Lastly, Microsoft also updated their Surface Book line with a new model. The Surface Book with Performance Base comes with the Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M 2GB GPU for better performance and graphics capabilities. It can now also last up to 16 hours per battery charge, so you can use it through the day with no problem at all.
The Surface Studio will be priced at USD 2999(~RM 12489), the Surface Dial is retailing at USD 99.99 (~RM 416) and the new Surface Book will be retailing for USD 2399 (~RM 9990). Stay tuned to TechNave for more news on the new Surface products in Malaysia soon.
