As we close in on the last month of the year, companies are starting to talk about plans for 2021. For Microsoft, a big Windows 10 update is expected next year, along with the release of Windows 10X. But sources also claim that the company may consider adding support for Android apps for Windows 10.

According to TechRadar, Microsoft may bring Android apps to the Microsoft Store for Windows 10. If this is true, a lot of mobile-only apps will be able to reach new audiences. No details have been given, but it's said that the feature could be implemented in 2021. There would likely be major compatibility issues though, especially with apps that require Google Play Services.

Most people use Android emulators to run apps on PCs, especially for mobile games

It should be noted that this isn't the first time Microsoft has looked into add Android apps into its platform. The company announced Windows Bridge for Android back in 2015, but the project didn't pan out and was eventually scrapped. These days, the only way to run Android apps on a Windows 10 PC is to use Android emulators or Microsoft's "Your Phone" app, which only works with Samsung devices.

This is not just great for users but also developers, who would only need to develop one version of the app to target two platforms. But what do you think about this? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
