In an attempt to catch up with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge had experimented with several features in the past, and some of them are just unnecessary. Today, the browser introduces a new Games panel for users that brings a collection of HTML5 games. Necessary or not, you tell us.
Spotted by a tipster named Leopeva64, who specialized in Chrome/Chromium-related reports, Microsoft is still testing the dedicated Games panel in Edge. To access the panel, users would need to toggle it on from the Settings > Appearance > Games button, as it's disabled by default.
The games cover multiple categories, including Arcade, Microsoft classics, Board & Card, Puzzle, Sports, Casual, Match 3, and more. Since these are HTML5 games, users can play them right in the browser without any downloads. The Games panel is only live for a small set of users in the latest version of Microsoft Edge Canary at the moment.
It's unknown whether Microsoft will make the feature available for all users in the future. Stay tuned to TechNave.com, and we'll bring you the latest update for it.
