If you are into science fiction, you must know of Star Trek’s Universal Translator that is present in just about every show – it allows aliens to talk to each other in their own language, in real time. Well, real life has finally mimicked the arts, as the first true univeral translator is now available on your smartphone, from Microsoft.

The app works by using Deep Neural computing that allows real time translation to happen in the smartphone. Users just need to download the app, and then sign in for a one-to-one translation or even a group translation that can either be done via text, or even in voice as the app will pronounce the translated phrases out loud.

Imagine that you are stuck in a country that you do not know the language. Just download this app, and walk around with confidence that your thoughts will be made known to anyone you want to communicate with. Technology is great isn’t it? The app is now available on iOS, Android and even the web.
