Microsoft launched their cloud application, the brand new OneDrive for Windows, which is more complete and user-friendly. So, what should you know about it?

It will replace the small display on the taskbar

For your information, it will replace the small display on the taskbar with a full interface like the mobile version, including a photo gallery view and facial recognition functionality. You can also edit photos and choose whether to save offline or upload to the cloud.

For Microsoft 365 Copilot and Premium customers, a new feature called “ Photos Agent ” will be available soon, which will allow for photo searches based on memories or locations, as well as automatically build albums.

On iOS and Android, OneDrive will offer AI-based photo editing, such as removing blurry images and adding animated styles. The “ Moments ” tab displays old memories, such as “ On This Day ”. Microsoft also introduced “ hero links ” for easier and less confusing document sharing.

With Hero Link, you can create a permanent link to a shared folder, change access permissions without having to resend the link or worry about old versions. Copilot also provides a quick summary of the folder's contents so everyone understands the context as soon as they open it.
