Microsoft has been playing safe when it comes to hardware. The boldest product that the company recently launched could be the Surface Duo which is a dual-screen device. However, this patent filed by the company earlier has shown that it still has an adventurous spirit for putting out innovative products.

According to the patent dug up by LetsGoDigital, Microsoft could be planning to adopt a four-colour camera system inspired by its logo. The camera system is to be hidden under the screen and has four sensors with each covered by a colour filter corresponding with the Microsoft logo. When they're not in use, they could function as merely displaying the logo or notification lights. The document also suggests that the camera system could even generate impressive images as it's using the power of four sensors.

It is worth mentioning that the patent was filed in 2019 and Microsoft might have stopped working on this project, or never started. The idea is definitely an interesting one considering the fact that the under-display camera is what everyone has been waiting to see these days, so they can get rid of all forms of notches to enjoy an unobstructed display.
