Previously, we reported that Microsoft is previewing Phone Link for iOS which would allow Apple users to use iMessage, send and receive phone calls and even receive notifications on Windows 11. Well, the company has recently released the full version and is currently rolling out to all Windows 11 users.

In a blog post, the company announced that the functionality will be available around the world by mid-May 2023. For it to work with Apple devices, you need to have the Phone Link for Windows 11 on your PC and the Link to Windows app for iOS on your iOS or iPadOS devices.

The app allows you to make all of the aforementioned tasks, though they do come with several limitations. For example, there’s no support for group chats, photos, videos and conversation history beyond the current chat session.

This may be due to the app connecting the PC and the iOS device via Bluetooth rather than WiFi, hence data transfer and speeds are limited. Nevertheless, it’s definitely an awesome option to have for those owning an iPhone with a Windows 11 PC.
