In case you didn't know, Microsoft is experiencing a worldwide system outage at the moment. It's affecting and disrupting numerous IT services, airports, banks and businesses globally. This also includes KLIA, KLIA 2 and KTMB (Malayan Railway Limited).

According to sources, this is likely due to a cybersecurity firm, CrowdStrike and its recent update on its Falcon sensor. CrowdStrike is already aware of the reports of crashes on Windows hosts that are tied to the Falcon sensor and should be working on it as we speak. Besides KLIA and KLIA 2, the airports in the US and Australia are also severely affected, pausing flight departures.

On top of that, various Microsoft 365 apps and services are also experiencing outages. On Downdetector.com, it's showing Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and AirAsia badly affected by the outage. Then on Twitter X, many users are already starting to make memes and jokes about the outage. Microsoft nor CrowdStrike have made any announcement regarding the issue.
